After a Sunday sequence that included four winners at odds ranging from 5-1 to 14-1, a pick six carryover of $29,573 is on tap as Belmont Stakes week gets under way.
The main track was in use for only three races to close out the week, and remained exceptionally quick, playing two full seconds faster than par. All three winners stalked the early pace, positioned anywhere from one to three lengths off the lead at the first call.
The temporary rail on the turf has been moved out to lane 4 for this week. Following some rain on Monday, the course should be a little kinder than it was last weekend, when speed was effective.
Belmont shipper Frac Daddy was pounded down to 2-5 in the early wagering for the Grade 2 Eclipse Stakes, and eventually drifted up to 4-5 at post time before stamping himself as a Polytack freak by crushing an accomplished local contingent.

Tuesday was just another day at the office for the majority of the dozen or so confirmed starters for Saturday’s Belmont Stakes. Routine gallops were the order of the day for nearly the entire prospective field, with odds-on favorite California Chrome having the busiest morning of them all.
