Pegasus winner Donegal Moon added to FTK July horses of racing age sale

Recent Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes winner Donegal Moon has been added to the 2016 Fasig-Tipton July HORA sale as Hip No. 508. The 3-year-old, a $220,000 yearling acquisition by Jerry Crawford’s Donegal Racing, won the 1 1/16-mile Pegasus on June 19th with a visually impressive move turning for home and a relentless drive down the stretch. The Pegasus is the local prep for the $1,000,000 Grade 1 Haskell Invitational, to be run on July 31st.

Euro Charline retired, to be sold in England

Team Valor International’s Euro Charline, who became the first 3-year-old to capture the Grade 1 Beverly D. Stakes at Arlington Park, has been retired from racing due to a tendon injury sustained in training. The 5-year-old mare by Myboycharlie out of Eurolink Artemis, by Common Grounds, will be offered at the Tattersalls December breeding stock at Newmarket in the consignment of trainer Marco Botti’s Prestige Place.

Barretts preview to include three- to five-furlong works

Barretts Sales will conduct a training preview on July 22 for the unraced 2-year-olds that will be offered at the paddock sale at Del Mar on July 23. The 2-year-olds will work from three furlongs to five furlongs after the completion of normal training hours at Del Mar on July 22.
