Northern California yearling, racing-age sale catalog lists 239

The catalog for the 2016 California Thoroughbred Breeders Association Northern California yearling and horses of racing age sale is now available online, with 239 entries.
The auction will be Aug. 16 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, Calif., beginning at noon, Pacific.
A total of 216 yearlings are cataloged in this year’s catalog, including supplemental entries, along with 23 horses of racing age. Overall, the catalog features 24 percent more offerings than the 2015 sale.
First-crop yearling sires with entries in the catalog include Champ Pegasus, Jimmy Creed, Prospective, Smiling Tiger, and Truest Legend.
