Man in Finance tops a Danny Gargan-trained duo entered on Sunday's card at Aqueduct.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Trainer Danny Gargan has only run three horses in November, but they’ve all won.

Sunday, the final day of the month, Gargan has two runners entered at Aqueduct and at least one of them, Man in Finance, figures to go off favored in a second-level allowance/optional $45,000 claiming event for New York-breds, the co-feature on a nine-race card. There is also a New York-bred second-level allowance/optional $45,000 claimer for fillies and mares earlier on the card.

Heredia wins the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon at Del Mar in August. She is coming off an awful trip in the First Lady at Keeneland.

To find the winner of the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes in fall at Del Mar, start with the shippers.

Seven of 11 Matriarch winners at Del Mar made their most recent start outside California, three others were making their second start in California. The pattern could continue Sunday if New York-based Segesta or Maryland-based Heredia run as expected in the filly-mare turf mile.

Hey Nay Nay primed for DeMille after Breeders' Cup flop

Debra A. Roma
Hey Nay Nay returns four weeks after finishing 10th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

Hey Nay Nay’s unbeaten streak ended emphatically with a 10th-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar on Oct. 31. The loss has done nothing to dim trainer John Sadler’s long-term expectations for a colt who is already a two-time stakes winner.

Hey Nay Nay can achieve a third stakes win since early August when he starts favored in Sunday’s Grade 3, $100,000 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes for 2-year-olds at a mile on turf at Del Mar, one of four stakes on the closing day of the track’s autumn meeting.

Paramount Prince must pace himself on front end

Julie Wright
Paramount Prince should have things his way up front in the Sunday feature at Woodbine.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – There’s not a stakes on Sunday at Woodbine, but the featured eighth race reads like an added-money event and is headed by 2023 King’s Plate victor Paramount Prince.

A two-time Canadian champion, Paramount Prince figures to be the controlling speed in the 1 1/16-mile conditioned allowance with an $80,000 claiming option.
