Since 2009, he had been a pensioner at the Old Friends equine retirement facility in Georgetown, Ky.
Larry Ullman, who races and breeds as SLU Inc., is offering a reduction of his broodmare holdings at Monday’s Barretts January Mixed Sale in Pomona, Calif. One of the five broodmares he has in the sale is Bold Roberta, a 13-year-old Bold Badgett mare who earned $449,704. Bold Roberta sells in foal to Fusaichi Pegasus, and is expected to attract significant attention from breeders.
