The Jockey Club has introduced a new iPhone application that allows iPhone users to take and submit foal photos for registration. The application is free and is available for download from the iTunes store at the following link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/the-jockey-club-registry/id415303226?mt=8. The Jockey Club plans to launch a version for the Android operating system later this year. The iPhone app also links users to The Jockey Club’s registry service for mobile phones, from which users can access the online Names Book, a list of recently released names, and the tattoo lookup service. In related news, The Jockey Club also has added new features to its Interactive Registration service at registry.jockeyclub.com. Now customers can receive notifications of outstanding registration requirements by e-mail, although those wishing to continue receiving notifications by postal service can do so by changing their preference at the site’s new customer profile section. The Jockey Club will continue to send notices of upcoming registration deadlines by traditional mail. Other mobile device applications The Jockey Club has developed include the Equibase Racing Yearbook, featuring video race replays of graded stakes, as well as free five-cross pedigrees at mobile.equineline.com.
