Sudden Surprise, the undefeated New York-bred juvenile colt owned and bred by Mike Repole, will make his next start in the $250,000 Sleepy Hollow Stakes for statebreds on Oct. 24.

Trainer Christophe Clement still has no clue why Hard Not to Like ran so poorly in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive at Santa Anita, and he isn’t sure where to run her next. But after her work Sunday morning at Belmont Park, he is leaving the option open for a start in the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf.
