Sequel Stallions in Hudson, N.Y., announced the fees for its 2016 stallions, led once again by Freud, a perennial leading sire in the Empire State. Freud, a 17-year-old son of Storm Cat, will stand for $10,000, unchanged from the 2015 season.
Toast of New York, a Group 2 winner and runner-up in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Classic, has been retired from racing and will debut at stud in Qatar for the 2016 breeding season.
City Zippin, a multiple allowance winner, has been retired from racing and will stand the 2016 breeding season at Davidson’s Tracks-N-Time in Midland, Mich., adding a third member to the farm’s stallion roster. All three will all stand for private treaties.
