Both barns have reinforcements Saturday at Fair Grounds, where Stidham runs two in the $100,000 Woodchopper as does Cox in the $100,000 Pago Hop.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Dazzling Move launched her 2025 campaign defeating the odds-on Grand Job in the Grade 3 Royal Delta Stakes here last winter. She’ll try to end the season on a similar note when she and Grand Job meet again as the likely favorites in Friday’s $125,000 Rampart Stakes.

The one-mile fixture for fillies and mares lured a field of nine, including a couple of Dazzling Move’s Saffie Joseph Jr. stablemates, Claret Beret and Luvumorgan.

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Doc Sullivan and Bank Frenzy will close out 2025 like they did 2024, with a meeting in the $125,000 Alex M. Robb Stakes, the feature on Friday’s 10-race Aqueduct card as racing resumes on this circuit following a nearly two-week break.

The Ultimate 6 Jackpot at Tampa Bay Downs has proven as elusive as Powerball. Unlike Powerball, however, the entirety of Tampa’s Ultimate 6 pool is guaranteed to be distributed on Wednesday when the track conducts a nine-race Christmas Eve program beginning at 12:35 p.m.

Two days later than scheduled, Santa Anita begins its winter-spring meeting on Sunday with an 11-race program that includes 29 stakes winners.

The number of stakes winners could grow by late Sunday afternoon, considering there are six stakes spread across the program, which starts at 11 a.m. Pacific.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – The last chance for local horseplayers to bring home the proverbial “Christmas money” will come Wednesday at Gulfstream Park. The nine-race program is headlined by the $125,000 Via Borghese Stakes, a 1 3/8-mile turf race for fillies and mares.

The Via Borghese drew a field of eight, topped by a pair of graded stakes-winning mares, La Mehana and Venencia, who have changed homes since their previous starts. La Mehana is now under the tutelage of trainer Brad Cox, while Venencia has joined trainer Saffie Joseph Jr.’s equally potent barn.
