The catalog for the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale is now available online via the auction company’s website.
While it lacked the flash of last year’s renewal, the 2014 Keeneland January horses of all ages sale posted an improved median sales figure and buyback rate, with a steady middle market driving the trade.
The Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale will expand to two days in 2014, running Feb. 9-10.

Sweeter Still, a Grade 3-winning Rock of Gibraltar mare, made for some late-session commotion on Tuesday, selling to Phyllis Wyeth’s Chadds Ford Stable for $750,000 at the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale. The 9-year-old was the only mare offered in the sale pregnant to world-class Irish stallion Galileo.
Ponche de Leona, dam of Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Mucho Macho Man, sold for $775,000 to Betty Moran’s Brushwood Stable to take over as the top price of the Keeneland January horses of all ages sale during Tuesday’s second session.
