Fasig-Tipton Florida select 2-year-old sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Florida selected sale of 2-year-olds in training is now online, featuring 157 juveniles.

The catalog is currently available to view on Fasig-Tipton’s website, as well as the Equineline iPad app, and print catalogs will be available at the company’s offices by Feb. 18.

The one-day sale will be held March 24 at Adena Springs South in Williston, Fla., beginning at noon Eastern. The pre-sale under-tack show will be held March 21, beginning at 9 a.m.

Adena Springs South is a state-of-the-art training center with facilities specifically dedicated to Thoroughbred auctions, and features a one-mile dirt training oval.

“The 2014 catalog is up 15 percent in numbers over last year,” Fasig-Tipton president Boyd Browning Jr., said. “And that growth expands the quality and choices for buyers looking for promising racing prospects. Nine of the top 10 stallions on the 2013 North American general sire list are represented in the sale, as well as the top three freshman sires of last year.

“A feature in the catalog of past graded and group stakes-winning graduates shows success comes at many price levels,” Browning continued. “Our consignors are offering at the Florida sale what the buyers focus on – exceptional athletes with the pedigree to carry them to the top.”
