Fasig-Tipton Texas juvenile and horses of racing age catalog now online

The catalog for the 2014 Fasig-Tipton Texas 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age sale is now online, featuring 135 entries.

The one-day sale will be held Tuesday, April 1, at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, beginning at noon Central. The pre-sale under-tack show will be held at Lone Star on Sunday, March 30, at 11 a.m.

Supplemental entries for the horses of racing age portion will be taken until March 17. Fasig-Tipton added the horses of racing age portion to its Texas juvenile sale last year. That section was led by stakes winner Worldventurer, who sold for $150,000.

“The Texas 2-year-old sale annually boasts the strongest sire power of any ‘in training’ sale in the Southwest, and we’ve got another strong catalog this year,” said Fasig-Tipton Texas Director of Sales Tim Boyce. “This year’s catalog features several blue-chip national sires such as Distorted Humor, Harlan’s Holiday, Midnight Lute, Congrats, Ghostzapper, Afleet Alex and Discreetly Mine, in addition to progeny by the leading sires from Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas.”

The catalog is now available online via the Fasig-Tipton website and the Equineline Sales Catalog app. Print catalogs will be mailed by February 21, while the supplemental catalog will be available online at a later date with published editions available only on the sale grounds.
