The lure of $2,300,000 in purses, plus in many cases divisional bragging rights, have attracted a sizable portion of harness racing’s stars to Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania this Saturday afternoon (August 16) for its biggest card of the year, Sun Stakes Saturday. The 14-race program, starting at 2:30 p.m. (EDT), is bringing to the mountain oval many of the best horses in North American harness racing, both this year and in recent campaigns.
Shenandoah Downs will continue celebrating its 10th year of pari-mutuel harness racing in Woodstock with a seven-week pari-mutuel meet this fall at the Woodstock oval, scheduled to run from September 13 - October 26. Racing will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1:05 PM.
