Race 1 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(3) DW'S DARLENE couldn't get involved from the eight-hole last week but drops and gets significant post relief here. She was a handy winner at this level two back. (1) DISTANT LOVER dominated in this class last Tuesday and gets reunited with Jason Bartlett for the first time in a bit. (6) I LOVED HER FIRST continued to not have much luck at the post position draw but scored by open lengths the last time she faced $20,000 claiming company at Yonkers on July 1.

Race 2 - 30000-40000CLM HCP Pace

(5) SIX DEGREES closed well in a second-place finish behind a sharp foe last Monday and was Colin Kelly's choice over two others. (6) SHAKE IT is on an extended run of results in the exacta and was re-claimed out of his win on 8-4 by leading trainer Per Engblom. (1) SOUTHWIND PETYR comes in with three straight on-the-board efforts and starts from the pole position in his debut for new connections off a claim.

Race 3 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot

(1) ROANDOVER hasn't made much noise since he came to Yonkers but was racing well over at Pocono not all that long ago and starts from the pole here. He also gets Bartlett in the bike for the first time for Engblom against a non-descript group. (4) DURANTE HANOVER was third in this class in his last try on 8-2 and has hit the board in five out of his last seven appearances overall. (5) JEFFERY J gets some post relief tonight but is winless in 2025 and hasn't been able to deliver as the favorite twice recently. I'll include but only underneath.

Race 4 - Winners of 5 but not more than 7 PM Races or 90000LT Trot

(6) EVER CLEVER moves out on the gate tonight but was second to a rival who'd probably be 1-9 here in his last appearance, and I'll bank on him being put in play. (5) THE THING IS shows three on-the-board results in this class and gets a driver switch to Bartlett here. (1) MEETMEATTHEBAR defeated NW10000L5 company at Yonkers back on the 11th of July and has four other top-three efforts in her lines. She also slides in from post six to the pole position.

Race 5 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(2) RACIN FOR ROYALTY didn't fire last Tuesday, but she was racing well at this level prior to that, and hopefully that dull effort leads to an inflated price tonight. (4) DEFININGTHE MOMENT was a front-stepping winner in this class on August 5 and picks up Bartlett's services in the bike here. (1) QUICK MENU had a recent run of four straight on-the-board results against $20,000 claiming company, including a victory on the 16th of July. She moves in from post five to the pole position this time.

Race 6 - NW7500L5 / Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

We'll see if (1) FUNATTHEBEACH N is still up to the task of winning or not here as he catches a fairly wide-open group and starts from post one on the drop in class. All of his recent final quarters are pretty good, but I'd like to see him on the front-end or in the pocket at worst. (4) PEACE OUT POSSE dominated bottom level foes last Tuesday and was third against NW7500L5's prior to that. (7) TOBINS CHESTER starts from a poor post but was third against tougher NW10000L5's on August 4 and hails from a stable that's capable of having one ready for a big effort at any time.

Race 7 - 15000CLM Pace

(1) A FEARSOME HANOVER closed well in a third-place effort at Monticello in his debut for this high-percentage stable on July 29 and landed post one tonight. (2) GOTHIC ROCK owns a victory against $15,000 claiming company back on 7-5 and gets a chance to team up with Bartlett. (3) THIRD EDITION won impressively in this class last time out and has only been outside the exacta twice in his last five trips behind the gate overall. He also moves in on the gate from the six-hole to post three.

Race 8 - NW5000L5 / 12500CLM Pace

(3) MASONS DELIGHT N was an even sixth in his last try on 8-1 but makes his second start back after a layoff here and gets Bartlett at the controls for Engblom. (4) ROYAL DESIRE drops out of the NW7500L5's off an effort when he crossed the wire third but was placed back to sixth for causing interference while on a break. He does show some flashes like that 27 and change final quarter two back but will obviously have to avoid another miscue. (5) OURMATEMENKO N was third in a quick mile over at Pocono most recently and was in against NW10000L5's when last seen locally back in late June.

Race 9 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(1) ALWAYS BE CITY doesn't have a great win record this year, but I thought she finished up her mile last Tuesday quite well and moves back to the pole position this time. (2) MORNING HAS BROKEN comes in off a handy win in a quick time at Pocono and was in against tougher $25,000 claiming company the last time she was at Yonkers back in early July. (6) NUTTINBUTHEBEST was up against it on August 2 when she had to come first-over against a heavy favorite. This is her third start back after some time off, and she does show a victory over $25,000 claimers here back in May.
