Fawkes wants firm turf for Reef Runner on route to Breeders' Cup

Trainer David Fawkes said the main goal for Jaipur winner Reef Runner is a start in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint at Keeneland on Oct. 31. Reef Runner gained a fees-paid berth into the race with Saturday's win. Last November at Del Mar, Reef Runner finished fourth in the BC Turf Sprint at Del Mar.

Highly Lethal V sets track record in Ruidoso Futurity win

Highly Lethal V was the fastest qualifier from the second of two days of time trials on May 23 for Sunday’s $1 million Ruidoso Futurity at The Downs at Albuquerque. He was even better in Sunday’s final, winning by a length and finishing 350 yards in track-record time of 16.886 seconds.
