My Miss Mo will be scratched from Friday's Kentucky Oaks, trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. said early Wednesday afternoon. The scratch will allow Nycon, the second also-eligible, into the field
The future-book favorite for Saturday’s Group 1 South Australian Derby at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide was stuck on the also-eligible list as of Wednesday. Accidental Bid, trained by Ciaron Maher, was 2-1, but is the first alternate. He will draw into the field should there be a scratch among the 16 runners entered in the $712,700 South Australian Derby at about 1 9/16 miles.

No Show Sammy Jo will be firmly in her comfort zone when she returns from a short break in the Grade 3 Sheepshead Bay Stakes on Friday at Aqueduct. A two-time stakes winner for Graham Motion last year, the mare earned her brief respite and should ship to New York with a strong winning chance at 1 3/8 miles on the inner turf course.

Winning the Kentucky Derby is extremely difficult. Just getting one to the starting gate on the first Saturday in May is nearly as hard. On Wednesday morning, just 81 hours before Kentucky Derby 152 was to go to post, trainer Mark Casse revealed that Silent Tactic will have to scratch from the race due to a bruised foot.
