The purse of the Frank Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita on March 7 has been reduced from $300,000 to $200,000 after the turf race was downgraded from a Grade 1 to a Grade 2 in late 2025 by the American Graded Stakes Committee.

In the $200,000 Busher, a points-scoring race for the May 1 Kentucky Oaks, trainer Chad Brown sends out Current Yield, who won her debut on Jan. 31 at Tampa Bay Downs. Current Yield is a substitute for Market Chill, a maiden winner in her fourth start on Jan. 11 at Tampa.

Ka Ying Rising, already one of Hong Kong’s great horses, etched his name even more deeply in the record books winning the Group 1, $1.66 million Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup by 3 1/2 lengths. The victory, his 18th straight, set a new Hong Kong winning streak, Ka Ying Rising surpassing the 17 in a row that Silent Witness claimed between 2002 and 2005.

Live racing scheduled for Sunday at Aqueduct was canceled due to a blizzard warning and a forecast that calls for between 18 and 24 inches of snow and high winds in the New York City metropolitan area scheduled to start later in the afternoon.
