Trainer Larry Jones already has two 3-year-old fillies, I’m a Chatterbox and Lovely Maria, pointed to the Rachel Alexandra Stakes on Feb. 21. Given the general paucity of standout youngsters at Fair Grounds this winter, it almost seems unfair there’s yet another good filly, Broadway Show, who resides in the same barn.

Here is a look at the final five races on the card Saturday at Sam Houston Race Park, and a suggested pick five play.

Promise Me Silver does not know defeat, having won 5 of 5 starts for a record that will be put on the line in Saturday night’s $75,000 Two Altazano division of the Texas Stallion Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park.

Ride On Curlin has accomplished a good deal in his 13-race career. He’s placed in six stakes, including runner-up finishes in the Preakness and Arkansas Derby, and has earned $751,287. But a stakes win of his own has been elusive, and that is something Ride On Curlin will be out to accomplish Saturday.

Four of the top five finishers from a second-level allowance race on Jan. 29 meet again in Saturday’s $100,000 Broadway Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

Drawn by a $75,000 purse and the opportunity to race on Polytrack, half of the eight horses entered in Saturday’s Cincinnati Trophy Stakes at Turfway Park are southern shippers, led by Fair Grounds raiders Bossy, True to You, and Flat Deposit and Gulfstream invader Right On Kitten.

Overall, at least 35 male-line descendants of A.P. Indy are scheduled to stand in Kentucky in 2015, with many more sure to come in the next few years. Even as good a racehorse as he was, as good as his pedigree was, as good an individual as A.P. Indy was, it was hardly predictable that he would lead a resurgence of the waning Bold Ruler branch of the Nasrullah male line.

The Barbara Fritchie undercard at Laurel Park on Saturday is topped by a pair of competitive $100,000 stakes at 1 1/8 miles, the John B. Campbell for both sexes and the Maryland Racing Media Stakes for fillies and mares.

Ocho Ocho Ocho, unraced since winning the $1 million Delta Jackpot Stakes in Louisiana in November, is on schedule for a comeback March 7 in the $400,000 San Felipe Stakes at Santa Anita.
