A game Protonico, passed midstretch by longshot Noble Bird, came back in the final yards to win the Grade 2, $400,000 Alysheba Stakes by a head as favored Honor Code labored home fifth, never in contention.
Diva’s Diamond has been put on a Prairie Meadows program following her runner-up finish to champion Untapable in last month’s Grade 1, $600,000 Apple Blossom Handicap. Karl Broberg, the leading trainer at Lone Star Park, said Friday that Diva’s Diamond has a summer objective of defense of her title in the $100,000 Iowa Distaff.

I think ROLL TIDE ROLL could fall into a nice stalking trip behind a contested pace, as he proved in his debut that he can rate, and TOUGH CUSTOMER has decent works for his return for Wayne Catalano, who does well off the layoff.
