The favored Esperanza ($4.20) gained command from the outset and led a group of 10 3-year-old fillies the entire mile for a 2 3/4-length win in Saturday night's $63,625 Iowa Stallion Filly Stakes.

Texas Bling won the $50,000 Assault Stakes at Lone Star Park for the second year in a row Saturday night, holding off the favorite Texas Air by a half-length. It was another three lengths back in third to He Has Bling.

Under confident handling by leading rider Colby Hernandez, Cale’s Gold pounced on the leaders turning for home in Saturday night’s $100,000 D. S. “Shine” Young Futurity and kicked clear by seven expanding lengths. The longshot Wonder Run held on for second after helping set the early pace in the 5 1/2-furlong affair for Louisiana-bred 2-year-old colts and geldings. He was followed closely by Our Rapidish in third.
Runnin Fun held tight to the inside path and outkicked steady pressure to win the $20,000 Lansing Stakes on Saturday at Hazel Park Raceway.

Wiggle It Jiggleit unveiled a new wrinkle racing from off the pace and swooped by the field to join In The Arsenal as the $50,000 Meadowlands Pace elimination winners.

J L Cruze held on by a nose to win the $250,000 Graduate final in the fastest clocking in Meadowlands history-1:49 4/5.

Fantastic Style took on older fillies and mares for the first time in Saturday’s $200,750 Great Lady M. Stakes at Los Alamitos and confirmed her brilliance in stakes around one turn.

The Pizza Man, stuffed into a tight spot much of the trip, still managed to dig deep and dish out his second straight win in the Stars and Stripes Stakes, topping the Grade 3, $100,000 race Saturday at Arlington by a neck over the pace-setting Roman Approval.
