Endless Light had her first career graded stakes score in her grasp before getting nosed out at the wire in the Grade 3 Seaway Stakes on Aug. 8, and she’ll be looking for redemption in Sunday’s Grade 3, $150,000 Ontario Fashion Stakes over six furlongs on Polytrack at Woodbine.
Only a handful of Woodbine runners have been victorious in the Grade 1 Canadian International during the last 25 years. The late bloomer Interpol could add his name to the list in the 78th running of the 12-furlong turf route on Sunday.
Passion for Action appears to be a 3-year-old with a future. He will get his sternest to date on Sunday’s Canadian International undercard at Woodbine in the Grade 2, $300,000 Nearctic Stakes.
Strut the Course has won her last three graded stakes starts on the Woodbine turf and will be in search of her first career Grade 1 victory in Sunday’s Grade 1, $500,000 E.P. Taylor Stakes over 1 1/4 miles at Woodbine.
Acapella (#7, ML 5-2) returns in Friday's first race at Belmont Park, a seven-furlong maiden special weight race. It will be her first start since finishing third by 4 3/4 lengths in a maiden special weight race Sept. 2 at Saratoga.
