With six of Saturday’s 10 races at Belmont Park scheduled to be run on turf, bettors are going to have to keep an eye to the sky.
A pair of pick threes offers price potential Saturday at Santa Anita. Both bets (races 3-5; races 7-9) will single longshots in turf sprints. At $1 per, the total cost is $20.
Trainer Graham Motion saddles Eyeful (#6, 7-5) in Friday’s second race at Belmont Park, a seven-furlong optional claimer on turf. Motion is winning at a 27 percent clip when saddling a horse getting first-time Lasix, for a $2.85 ROI.

Twentytwentyvision (#2, ML 3-1) returns in Friday’s seventh race at Santa Anita, a one-mile optional claimer on turf. It will be his first start since finishing first by 1 3/4 lengths in an optional claimer May 8 at Santa Anita. The third- and fifth-place finishers from that race came back to win their next starts.
Saturday’s card at Santa Anita features two graded stakes events, and I’ll use both of them in individual daily double wagers.
