It is difficult to construct cheerful betting strategy on a racing card such as Sunday at Los Alamitos. Barring a carryover into closing day (mandatory payout day), the card offers little attraction. Small fields will do that.
DANZATRICE (#4, ML 8-1) ran well in the Grade 1 Acorn despite losing a front shoe on the far turn and dropping back several lengths. She re-rallied to finish fourth. The two-turn mile and a sixteenth of Saturday's 10th race at Delaware Park, the Grade 3 Delaware Oaks, is perfect for her. Lovely Maria, the heavy favorite, could be vulnerable while making her first start since winning the Kentucky Oaks 10 weeks ago. DRF GamePlan is part of DRF Plus, get access here.

There are some intriguing horses racing at Belmont this Saturday. I'll key them in multiple-race wagers and will play them to win if they meet my personal value-line requirements.
Trainer Gary Scherer saddles P J's Angel (#4, ML 7-2) in Friday's fourth race at Canterbury Park, an about one-mile and 70 yards maiden special weight race on turf. Since Jan., 1, 2014, Scherer is winning at a 26 percent clip in maiden special weight races, for a return on investment of $6.13. Check out the Positive ROI report as part of DRF Plus.
Some competitive races on the back end of the Sunday card give the last pick three some appeal.
Previous (#7, ML 5-1) returns in Friday's eighth race at Belmont Park, a one-mile optional claimer on turf. It will be her first start since finishing sixth by 6 1/2-lengths in an optional claimer April 15 at Aqueduct. The second-, third-, and fifth-place finishers from that race came back to win their next starts. Get the Key Race report as part of DRF Plus.
