In determining the pecking order of importance in handicapping, a horse’s connections are to be considered, but not to the point that it overshadows the most important piece of the puzzle: the horse.
Flat Out is the pick in the Whitney Handicap at Saratoga. He will appreciate the better pace set-up Saturday as well as the added distance.
We have some nice horses, many solid jockeys and several legendary trainers. But we only have one star – Bob Baffert.
