Yessirgeneralsir wins the Grade 3, $300,000 Lone Star Park Handicap on Monday.

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Yessirgeneralsir won his first stakes Monday with a powerful wire-to-wire victory in the Grade 3, $300,000 . The 1 1/16-mile race was the richest of seven stakes on the day, with the total value of the races $1 million. Known as Lone Star Million Day, the program is one of the biggest days of the meet at Lone Star Park.

Icy Atlantic rallies in Jersey Derby

OCEANPORT, N.J. - Icy Atlantic rallied five wide on the final turn and pulled away from the pack in the lane to win the Grade 3, $100,000 Jersey Derby on Monday afternoon at Monmouth Park.

Chuck Lopez got his third win of the day as he guided Icy Atlantic to a 1 1/4-length victory in the 1 1/16-mile race for 3-year-olds. Icy Atlantic was timed in 1:44.51 over a rain-soaked turf course labeled good.

Icy Atlantic ($7.40), trained by Todd Pletcher, posted his third straight win and second in a row on the turf. It was the stakes debut for the son of Stormy Atlantic.

Calder: Twilight Road draws clear

Twilight Road wins his second consecutive race at Calder in taking the Grade 3, $100,000 Memorial Day Handicap.

MIAMI - Twilight Road had never won a race around two turns coming into the $100,000 Memorial Day Handicap, a 1 1/16-mile race. But the 7-year-old ran like he had handled a route of ground all his life when he drew off to a 5 1/4-length victory over Hear No Evil and 10 others in the Grade 3 event.

Yougottawanna wins the Grade 3, $86,250 Seabiscuit Breeders' Cup Handicap at Bay Meadows on Monday.

SAN MATEO, Calif. - Yougottawanna ($4.60) controlled the pace while relaxing nicely on the lead and scored a victory in the Grade 3, $86,250 Seabiscuit Breeders' Cup Handicap.

Yougottawanna, recently re-claimed by trainer Jerry Hollendorfer for $80,000, beat stablemate Gold Ruckus by three-quarters of a length and was timed in 1:40.08 for the 1 1/16-mile race. It was Hollendorfer's fifth stakes victory of the meeting, and the third in which Hollendorfer runners have finished one-two.

Silverfoot nips Rochester by a nose

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Silverfoot, a gray gelding making his stakes debut, beat the grizzled veteran Rochester to the Churchill Downs finish line by a nose to capture the 67th running of the $112,400 Louisville Handicap on Monday.

Weather cuts Churchill short

Perilous weather conditions that brought tornados into the immediate area forced Churchill Downs to cancel the last six races of its 10-race Sunday card. Among the canceled races was the $150,000 Dogwood Breeders' Cup Stakes, a Grade 3 race Churchill most likely will make up on Saturday.

Although Churchill ran the first four races Sunday without incident, a tornado warning forced the remainder of the card to be canceled. Tornados actually touched down in several areas throughout the region, causing major property damage and at least one death.

Kabel eyes another streak

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Jockey Todd Kabel's streak of seven consecutive victories over the E.P. Taylor turf course came to an end in Sunday's third race, when he guided Gangster to a second-place finish.

Kabel, Woodbine's leading rider, will try to begin a new win streak on the grass aboard Beyond the Horizon in Wednesday's feature, a $67,800 first-level allowance for 3-year-old fillies.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - The connections of Blonde Executive and My Vintage Port had different perspectives heading into Saturday's Lady Angela Stakes.

Both Blonde Executive and My Vintage Port are Canadian-bred and Ontario-sired 3-year-old fillies, but Blonde Executive's first major target this year was the Lady Angela, while My Vintage Port had an eye on the $500,000 Labatt Woodbine Oaks on June 13.

Mixup yields 2 sets of betting numbers

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - A racing office mistake at Woodbine resulted in different sets of betting numbers in the track program and Daily Racing Form for Saturday's 10th race, a maiden claiming event with 15 horses.

The betting numbers in Daily Racing Form correctly listed a coupling for Nitro Attorney and Magical Rush, both trained by John MacKenzie. The two horses were assigned posts 12 and 13 with betting numbers of 1 and 1A, respectively. Betting numbers for the other horses began with No. 2 for the rail horse, Native Belief.
