Beer: Aqueduct horses to watch for week of April 3

Brooklyn Gerty
Trainer:  Chad Brown
Last race:  March 31, 4th
Finish:  2nd by 1 3/4
Beyer:  77
Lone first-time starter in field of six caught a sloppy track and raced greenly while chasing a heavily favored stablemate through the stretch. Settled for second best, well clear of the rest of the field.

Goldfeder: "What was I thinking?" for April 5

Every wager I make prepares me for the next bet I’m going to make. If I keep doing the work and following a consistent strategy, good things will happen. Previously I had discussed churn and keeping track of bankroll. This is an ongoing process, and as my bankroll grows my churn will rise. For now I am using a $500 per day bankroll with the goal of churning between 50-100% and ending the day with a positive ROI of at least + .10/$1.00. Repetition allows me to stay disciplined. It’s very easy to stray from my basic philosophy and when this happens the long-term results suffer.

Race 3

Have Another (#2)

According to Trakus, he came home his last quarter-mile in 23.76 seconds last time – nearly two seconds faster than anyone else in the field.

Has had excuses in his losses.

May appreciate getting off the inner track and onto the main, which is more conducive to his running style.

3-1 on ML

Race 4

Desirous (#5)

Was away awkwardly in her return race last time.

Puhich's 'Go big' plan in HPWS pays off big

Go big or go home.

It’s a mantra you’ll hear in the contest world uttered by players who understand that it’s usually better to take risks in an attempt to finish high up on the leaderboard than it is to middle along and avoid “embarrassment” by finishing low down in the standings.
