The back half of the Saturday card at Monmouth features one of the two Grade 1 races at the 2019 meet, the United Nations, race 11. This year's edition is especially competitive, but it helps to make for an interesting pick-four sequence that also includes the Grade 3 Iselin.

Race 2: Swick (#6)
Showed some ability in his dirt debut, earning a respectable 102 TimeformUS Speed Figure despite fading to sixth.
His second dam was a Grade 3 winner on turf, and he’s got some turf pedigree from sire Big Drama and dam sire Mr. Greeley.
John Terranova has had success with maidens in turf sprints.

Well, that was easy—both our Pix were early scratches which saved face at least. Still, it was a very good week for BreezeFigs maidens with five of the 2-year-olds getting home on top out of the 11 races in which they appeared, at: Belmont, Gulfstream, Indiana, Laurel and Santa Anita. There were eight 3-year-old winners, a goodly number, indeed, for this time of year at: Belmont, Churchill (two), Energy Downs, Laurel (BreezeFigs exacta),Monmouth, Parx, and Presque Isle.

Race 2: Percentage (#2)
Is bred to be proficient as a turf sprinter as a son of The Factor who is a half-brother to four-time turf sprint winner Fast Boat.
Appears to be working well for this unveiling.
DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Christophe Clement is 6 for 29 (21 percent, $2.78 ROI) with first-time starting 2-year-olds in turf sprints between five and six furlongs.

Race 1: Ten Twenty Nine (#2)
Ran deceptively well on March 9 when he closed nicely into a pace that held together.
Was facing significantly tougher foes at Monmouth last time and did not run as well as it seems.
It’s a good sign that Jose Ortiz takes the mount again for a low-profile barn.

Race 3: Jazzy J (#4)
Is a little inconsistent, but her top speed figures stack up well against this group.
Gets some needed class relief after facing tougher company in recent starts.
There is plenty of rain in the forecast ahead of Wednesday, and she does best on sloppy tracks.
