Favorites went zero-for-five during Wednesday night’s (June 10) Pick 5 at MGM Yonkers Raceway, leading to an $8,013.68 carryover and a $30,000 guaranteed pool in the sequence on Thursday (June 11). The guarantee in the Pick 5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association's Strategic Wagering Program, and free Harness Eye past performances for the Pick 5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available here. The Pick 5, which begins in race five and has a $1 minimum, has a takeout rate of 20 percent. Yonkers alters rules regarding Pick 4 carryovers Starting on Monday (June 15), the rules governing Pick 4 carryovers at MGM Yonkers Raceway will change. Beginning with that program, if no one hits the early Pick 4, the carryover will go to the next day's early Pick 4 sequence. MGM Yonkers Raceway is also gearing up for the return of stakes action to the oval with eliminations for the Grade 2 MGM Grand Messenger Stakes and Grade 2 MGM Yonkers Trot (if necessary) for 3-year-old males coming up next Friday (June 19). Those races will begin this year's Pacing and Triple Crowns, and the finals the following Friday (June 26) will be joined by the companion Grade 3 New York New York Mile and Grade 3 Park MGM Pace for 3-year-old fillies.
