Race 1: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(6) COOLER FASHION took over a month off between qualifiers but the connections appeared to figure something out. She looms large after a sharp morning prep. Wide open underneath. (10) TYMAL ECLIPSE has a misleading chart because the leader broke, but she trotted home decently. Her gait looked just okay, and she has to start widest of all. (5) DATAPRIVACY got away poorly from the rail and was never in contention. We’ll see what trip she can work out when drawing in the middle of the gate.

Race 2: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). LEG 1.
(8) ACEFORTYFOUR DAISY got a nice setup two back at this level and got the job done. I’ll look for a similar trip tonight. (7) JAZZVILLE should use early speed to her advantage but will need to work hard if she wants to finish the mile. (6) HEAVENS LIL DRAGON gets around the bigger track just fine and could spark an upset with the right trip.
Race 3: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES: NW 1 RACE OR $12,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(1) BANKROLL HANOVER raced very well on debut against heavy favorite Treacherous Nova. Any kind of step forward makes her very dangerous. (7) MERICANA HANOVER took support on debut despite the wide draw, but was never involved until it was too late. Look for her to be forward and a threat for the win. (5) EFFECTIVE CONTROL draws well for another speed try. I can see her working out a similar trip and result to last week.
Race 4: PURE IVORY ELIMINATION: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES. STARTING FEE $1,000 CDN $775 USD.
(4) EMMA DEO has not shown us everything she has to offer. This is a tougher spot for her, but I think she has a chance to make some real noise. (5) TREASURE KING pulled off a big upset in her latest and is progressing very well. She is the filly to beat. (9) COLD BREEZE gets J-Mac’s nod after an outside trip against Major Contender. She’ll have to overcome the wide draw.
Race 5: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 1 (WINNERS FOR A PURSE OF $10,500 OR LESS 2 RACES) RACE OR $10,000 LIFETIME. NO ALLOWANCES.
(1) CHEX MIX raced well in her first start on the lead. That could strengthen her for tonight, but she needs to not get away eighth from the rail. (3) MASSCHETTE should’ve had no chance to get a check last week considering the trip he got. If he avoids traffic trouble, he should be right there. (6) SEVERIAN looked like his grinding move would continue in the stretch, but he made a miscue. He is the biggest unknown in this race.
Race 6: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). LEG 1.
(2) MISSY ROCKS has produced back-to-back sharp wins and looms as the mare to beat. (4) LITTLE MOMENTS was an impressive winner from the second tier at Clinton in her latest. She doesn’t win much but should use her grinding style to get into contention. (3) COOL CUTE COOKIE got a check the other night and appears to be rounding back into some semblance of form since the scratch.
Race 7: PURE IVORY ELIMINATION: 2 YEAR OLD FILLIES. STARTING FEE $1,000 CDN $775 USD.
(3) MAJOR CONTENDER cruised by the leaders when she was asked for her best. She has more to show us if she wants. (9) NORTHERN SONG shouldn’t be taking back this week, though she was very good last week despite being mired towards the rear. She will be heard from in this division. (5) SONG FROM HEAVEN took advantage of a solid outside flow and finished a good second behind Major Contender. She can get a piece.

Race 8: NW $1,000 LAST 4 OR NW $7,500 LAST 8 STARTS. AE: N/A $1,030 P/S IN 2025-2026 (MIN 10 STARTS). AE: OPT. CLM. $12,500.
(8) YOU GUESSED IT held his own the other night against much tougher competition. He’s fourth back now with a solid form cycle. (2) CRYSTAL BALLER has been a horse who I’ve been fond of in recent years, but he just hasn’t stayed sound enough to remain in winning form. The class drop should help. (6) MY WAY could use some gate speed tonight which would give him a much better chance.
Race 9: POP UP SERIES: FILLIES & MARES CLAIMING $8,000. ALLOWANCES FOR AGE. (MUST RACE IN 2 LEGS TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FINAL). LEG 1.
(1) CF SAVING GRACE comes off a dominant score at Georgian Downs. A similar burst on the front should make her dangerous on the bigger track. (5) GRAND CIRCUIT has been as consistent as they come dating back to her huge 2025 campaign. J-Mac has plenty of options with this draw. (2) GRACIE T is third back now and has an excuse in her most recent outing at Mohawk. A different trip could see her close for a piece.
Race 10: 4 YEAR OLDS & YOUNGER, NW 2 (FM 3) RACES OR $20,000 (OS $25,000) LIFETIME. AE: MARES N/A $1,810 P/S IN 2025-26.
Tough finale. (6) STORMONT SHANLYBOY was sharp last week from off the pace and could get the jump on a couple of returnees. (1) UPTO LAURA HANOVER has just the one qualifier but closed sharply and looks ready to go. I would expect a conservative early trip, but she could pass a lot of rivals late. (2) WILD ROSE HANOVER will need to step up after just holding on in her latest. She can get a piece in here.
