Emily Shields Nadal, shown following his San Vicente win, has worn blinkers in his first two races but Bob Baffert will remove them for the Rebel.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Nadal will break from the rail in Grade 2, $1 million Rebel on Saturday at Oaklawn Park.

The mile and a sixteenth race, which drew eight horses Wednesday, rewards its first four finishers with Kentucky Derby qualifying points on a scale of 50-20-10-5.

Nadal is undefeated in two starts. He won a maiden special weight Jan. 19 at Santa Anita and the Grade 2 San Vicente at the same track in February. He will be blinkers off on Saturday. Trainer Bob Baffert has given the mount to Joel Rosario.
