Tagg in wait mode with Florida Derby winner Tiz the Law

Tiz the Law has worked three times since his resounding victory in the Grade 1 Florida Derby while trainer Barclay Tagg awaits the opportunity to run the horse next.
Tiz the Law’s most recent workout came Sunday at Palm Meadows, where he went a half-mile in 49.60 seconds by himself.

“He’s doing great, I’m just scared to death of not having a goal,” Tagg said Wednesday.
Tiz the Law’s goal was the Kentucky Derby, which was originally scheduled to be run Saturday at Churchill Downs. Now, the Derby is scheduled for Sept. 5.
Following Saturday’s split divisions of the Arkansas Derby – which Tagg had no interest running in – there is not another 3-year-old stakes scheduled as many major jurisdictions remain shuttered due to the coronavirus pandemic.
