A High Cotton colt and a Maimonides filly turned in the fastest one-furlong breezes Monday during the first of six days of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. June sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age under-tack show, covering the distance in 9 4/5 seconds. The breeze show was held over the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface.
The catalog for the 2015 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July yearling sale has been released, featuring a total of 332 selected yearlings on offer.

A sextet of juveniles tied for the fastest time over one furlong on Tuesday during the Barretts May 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age sale under-tack show, stopping the clock in :10 seconds flat.
A catalog of 485 weanlings and yearlings will be on offer during the Japan Racing Horse Association July select sale, including several horses with North American ties. Among the horses cataloged are a pair of yearlings from the first crop of I’ll Have Another, winner of the 2012 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, who entered stud in Japan upon his retirement. He stands at Big Red Farm in Hokkaido.
At a permanent new venue, Barretts Sales is relaunching its brand at the May 28 2-year-olds in training sales at Del Mar, hoping to transfer the success of recent decades at its Pomona location to the popular beachside racetrack. Barretts ceased holding sales on the Los Angeles County fairgrounds in Pomona after its 2-year-olds in training sale in February, and moved its offices to Arcadia, Calif., near Santa Anita racetrack, earlier this spring.
Tim Boyce has been named sales director of the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana, the subsidiary of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association announced. Boyce joins the organization after serving as the Fasig-Tipton Texas sales director for 19 years. Fasig-Tipton recently closed its operation in Texas.
