Nyquist, the Doug O’Neill-trained winner of Saturday’s Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, arrived on Monday afternoon at Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course, the host of the Preakness.
Owner Paul Reddam and trainer Doug O'Neill wanted a horse who not only could win the Derby, but be better prepared to compete in all three legs of the Triple Crown. And so Nyquist was not put to excessive demands to get ready for the Derby.
