Paladin, the winner of the 2025 Remsen Stakes, has been made a tepid 8-1 favorite among the 39 individual horses included in the fourth pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, according to a list of odds released by the pool’s administrator, Churchill Downs, on Tuesday.  Paladin, who is entered in Saturday’s Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds, inherits the role of favorite after the defection of Ted Noffey from the Derby trail due to bone bruising. Ted Noffey, who has not lost a race and was last year’s 2-year-old champion, was the individual favorite in all three of the previous Derby Future Wager pools.  The entry of “all other 3-year-olds” was 4-1 on the morning line. :: KENTUCKY DERBY 2026: Top contenders, point standings, prep schedule, news, and more The Risen Star Stakes is the most prominent 3-year-old stakes race this weekend.
