Kentucky Derby: Who's hot, who's not for June 3, 2020
WHO’S HOT
Tiz the Law has moved back into the role of favorite for the Sept. 5 Kentucky Derby following last week’s injury to Nadal. Tiz the Law is now 3-1 on the line set by Marty McGee of Daily Racing Form after being 4-1 last week. The defection of Nadal, the previous favorite, caused the odds to be lowered by McGee on several runners. Maxfield is now the second choice at 4-1 after being 6-1 a week ago, Authentic is down to 6-1 from last week’s 8-1, Honor A. P. was lowered to 12-1 from 15-1, and both King Guillermo and Sole Volante are 15-1 after being 20-1 last week. Replacing Nadal in the Derby Watch top 20 is Shooters Shoot, who is 50-1 on McGee’s line.

WHO’S NOT
Nadal was the lone horse removed from the list, but obviously he’s a significant defection as he was favored at 7-2 last week.
ON THE BUBBLE
The Santa Anita Derby on Saturday, postponed from April 4, offers 170 points overall, with 100 for first and 40 for second, based on the system Churchill Downs uses to determine the field for the Derby. Azul Coast and Rushie are among those who could forge their way onto the list with a top two finish, but they must get past Authentic and Honor A. P.
