Veterinarian fined, suspended

The New York stewards suspended veterinarian Camilo Sierra for 30 days and fined him $1,500 for submitting health certificates for horses he failed to examine. The suspension, which was to take effect Tuesday, was reduced to 20 days for Sierra waiving his right of appeal.
