Barbara D. Livingston Hidden Scroll, who earned a 104 Beyer in his maiden win, is the 9-5 morning-line favorite for Saturday's Fountain of Youth Stakes.

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A field of 11 3-year-olds was entered Wednesday at Gulfstream Park for the Grade 2, $400,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes, with Hidden Scroll being assigned post 7 as the 9-5 morning-line favorite in what shapes up as the best Kentucky Derby prep so far this year.

The 1 1/16-mile Fountain of Youth is carded as the 13th of 14 Saturday races, with post time set for about 5:35 p.m. Eastern. FS2 and TVG both will provide live coverage.

Joel Rosario has the return mount on Hidden Scroll, whose lone prior start equated to a 104 Beyer Speed Figure. Bill Mott trains for owner-breeder Juddmonte Farms.

From the rail, and with jockeys and odds, this is the field for the 72nd Fountain of Youth:

1. Code of Honor, J. Velazquez, 6-1

2. Epic Dreamer, T. Gaffalione, 20-1

3. Gladiator King, J. Solorzano, 50-1

4. Bourbon War, I. Ortiz Jr., 10-1

5. Vekoma, M. Franco, 7-2

6. Signalman, B. Hernandez Jr., 9-2

7. Hidden Scroll, J. Rosario, 9-5

8. Global Campaign, L. Saez, 10-1

9. Everfast, C. Landeros, 20-1

10. Frosted Grace, J. Gonzales, 30-1

11. Union’s Destiny, L. Reyes, 30-1

The Fountain of Youth is one of nine graded stakes on a 14-race card that starts at 11:30 a.m. Directly preceding it will be the Grade 2 Davona Dale (race 12, 5:01), which marks the seasonal debut of Jaywalk, the champion 2-year-old filly of 2018. Jaywalk, also with Rosario riding, was assigned post 1 in a field of seven in the one-mile Davona Dale.

Pool guarantees for Saturday include $750,000 for the late pick four (races 11-14), $500,000 for the late pick five (races 10-14), and $750,000 for the Rainbow 6 (races 9-14, with the guarantee in effect only if the jackpot is not swept before Saturday).
