BEST BET: ANTOGNONI S (11th) SPOT PLAY: MAXIMUS MIKI (13th) Race 1: Open Pace - Pick 4 (1) HOWLENTHEHILLS was probably not going to win the Borgata anyway but his night was certainly over once the draw came out and he drew post eight. He’s back now from the inside and should make his presence felt. (2) REDWOOD HANOVER probably needs some pace help but if they mix it up or he can sit the pocket, he’ll certainly have a say. (4) YOUNG BLUEY A showed some promise at Yonkers and perhaps he’ll get even better on the big track. Race 2: Non-winners $10,000 in last 5 (1) AYR DAVE GB went a bit of a strange race last week as he sat the pocket but didn’t even try to take the passing lane. He goes back to trainer Joe Bongiorno in the bike this week and I’m hoping to see early speed. (5) DISCOVERY drops down in his return here and adds an aggressive pilot in Allard. (2) JACK’S SHADOW is still trucking along in these upper conditions at age 12. He could certainly win with the right trip. Race 3: PA Stallion Series for 3YO C&G (8) REALLY BRIGHT is now perfect in two starts in the Stallion Series. While the outside post isn’t ideal, he’s certainly for enough early speed and the right driver to overcome. (7) ISCAH HANOVER gets a key driver change to Zeron and deserves some serious consideration. (1) AIN’TPLAYINNICE finally isn’t starting on the outside of the gate. That could be the key shift that turns the tables for him. ♦ Watch $10K GTD Pick 4 Analysis Video with Derick Giwner & Matt Rose Race 4: PA Stallion Series for 3YO C&G (1) SEA BISTRO HANOVER was favored in his first start of the year but lacked a foundation for a barn that tends to play it slow out of the gate. Last time he outraced his odds to be second. Now he draws inside and should be primed for a big brush and crush performance. (5) WINNERCIRCLESEEKER and (7) GOOD FRIDAY both possess early speed and figure to be put in play so they can sit potentially winning trips. Race 5: $50K #Senditin Invitational Pace - Pick 5 (2) HUNTINTHELASTDOLAR could get lost in the wagering shuffle as many people hop on board the (5) CAPTAIN OPTIMISTIC bandwagon off a scintillating score. ‘Dolar’ has gone some nice miles in 2026, hasn’t thrown in a bad effort and can win from on or off the pace. The latter put up a 1:48 1/5 win in his seasonal debut and if he can somehow get the top with plenty of early speed to his inside, watch out! (4) ODDS ON WILDFIRE has plenty of early speed and should be in winning position. Race 6: PA Stallion Series for 3YO C&G (1) LASTDRIVEDOWNMAIN seemed to have something left while chasing Brandon Blvd in the last qualifier but it was tough to see since he was off the screen. This guy displayed hints of talent last year and could surprise with some trip luck. (2) BALLROOM AFFAIR is perfect on the year and in TSS competition; clear one to beat. (5) SPUNKY HANOVER sat the pocket behind fast fractions and picked up a lifetime mark last weekend; win threat. Race 7: Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3YO C&G (1) SUPERCHAMP HANOVER has been a victim of circumstance in terms of lack of wins. Last time he was pushed to a 26 3/5 third quarter that softened him up in the late stages. This could be a pocket trip today. (6) MELILLO should be firing out and is clearly the one to beat if he brings his A game. (2) TOAST OF THE TOWN looked good two starts back before breaking last time. There is some ability here. Race 8: PA Stallion Series for 3YO C&G (6) TREACHEROUS LOU was looped away from the gate and wound up first-over last time. While he came up short, it was a very game performance where he kept fighting through the wire. (4) BARROW brushed and battled off the top pick in that common race a week ago; big threat again. (3) LOUMELO BALL picks up a new pilot and perhaps he can pick him up. Race 9: PA Stallion Series for 3YO C&G (7) CAPTAIN UNDERHAND only won by a head but was pretty much a measured winner last Sunday over this track. Lightly raced 3-year-old seems ready to step up to stakes competition. (5) CALLMEBIGPAPI dropped to this class and got second last time; needs right trip. (4) RASAJI HANOVER was on the short end at the wire versus the top pick last time and certainly merits some consideration, as does (1) MCHUNGRY, who has hit the board in both of his TSS starts. Race 10: Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3YO C&G - $10K GTD Pick 4 (7) ANOTHER C NOTE has yet to taste defeat in six starts this year and he got a bit lucky drawing into this division. Gingras should have him on the point and setting the tone at short odds. (1) ALWAYS B CHARLIE has proven himself in NW1 and TSS. Now he takes a giant step forward into the top-level Sire Stakes. Maybe he is this good. (2) APOCALYPSEBLUECHIP already has a Sire Stakes win and there is a big chance he’s sitting the pocket behind the top pick; dangerous if #7 falters even a bit. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 11: $100,000 Maxie Lee Invitational Trot (4) ANTOGNONI S looks to get revenge in this race after finishing third last year. He’s been super in 2026 two starts and the only horse to fear even a little drew the far outside. Look for Gingras to float away, wait for the dust to settle and make his move. (8) AETOS KRONOS S couldn’t have been much better in his Cutler defeat last time. There seems to be more than enough pace in here to ensure he gets into the race. (5) SIR PINOCCHIO has a couple of decent qualifiers under his belt but will likely need a career-best mile to win. Race 12: $100,000 Betsy Ross Mare Invitational Pace (7) RODEO DRIVE DEO tucked, brushed and won under a mild drive in her 2026 debut at Pocono. She wheels back in six days now and while the outside post doesn’t seem ideal, the middle of the gate seems to lack early speed players and that could allow her to leave enough for a quick tuck and prime position, if not the front. (1) LOUIES GIRL N dominated the McIntyre series but found the added quarter mile too much in the final. I fear she could be first-over here but she’s proven capable of taking some air. (6) MIKI AND MINNIE is undoubtably the most accomplished mare in the field and the one to beat. That said, she’s not known for her early speed and if there was ever a chance to play against her at a short price it is in her first try versus older mares. (2) TARAPASTA upset in the McIntyre. She has the early speed to get position and make her own trip. (8) COASTAL BABE N is only compromised by the outside post. Maybe Zeron can work some magic. Race 13: $100,000 Joseph Auger Memorial Invitational Pace (4) MAXIMUS MIKI was a very good second in his debut after a season where he was one of the best older pacers in the sport. There is no doubt in my mind that he’s in the best position to win and logic would state that he’ll be sharper in his second start back. (5) MOSSDALE BEN N drew outside and never had a chance after a slow pace in the Borgata. There should be some opportunity for him to pick up live cover today. (1) COACHES CORNER is right there week after week in spots like this one; obvious threat. (8) KEN HANOVER has a big turn of speed. Can he get into the race from the outside without emptying the tank? Race 14: Pennsylvania Sire Stakes for 3YO C&G This is far and away the most talent-filled PASS division on the card. (1) PAPI RICK lacks early speed but owns a big late kick that could benefit from a race that has the potential to be faster than some of the earlier legs of the series. (4) SNEAKY SQUEAKY has yet to taste defeat in 2026 and at this point he’s risen to the top of the PASS ladder. (5) CAPTAIN APPLE missed by just a nose to #4 last time; dangerous with a trip. (6) AL PAPI and (7) FRANTIC HANOVER have disappointed for Team Burke lately but they both have plenty of talent. I wouldn’t be surprised if either perked up. Race 15: Non-winners $15,000 in last 5 or 10 races or $100,000 life (7) CAPTAIN CRUSADER A dropped and popped last time at The Meadowlands and if he brings anything close to that mile today they are certainly racing for second. (4) NEWSROOM moves down in company this week and should find some early speed. (5) ON ACCIDENT won in this condition last Sunday but that was off a nice pocket trip.
