VALDEZ (NW10000) – Gelding got stuck in traffic and finished a willing second when clear. He will stay in the same class next week.
NOTORIOUS BLUESTONE (NW10000) – Was off 23 days prior to this start. He swung wide from last off the final turn and rallied home with steady trot. He had no shot.
ROSE RUN HOOLIGAN (INVITATIONAL) – Was away in the pocket but broke and fell back to last. He had to wait for a clear path and finished up with steady trot in a nice effort considering the break.
TYREE (15000CLM) – Faced some stretch traffic and gained mildly when clear. Given a switch to a top driver he could perk up at a price.
Saturday, January 7
NOBLE FALCON (NW22500) – Was fourth-over behind bad cover. He never fired but usually does his best work when closer to the front. He will drop in company next week and should be forwardly placed.
