Unusual Heat, who leads California’s stallions in progeny earnings, will stand for $20,000 in 2011, the same as last year, according to the syndicate that owns the 20-year-old.
A total of 188 lots have been cataloged for the 2010 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society’s annual winter mixed sale, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Woodbine Sales Pavilion.
Airdrie Stud will keep the stallion fee of Uncle Mo’s sire, Indian Charlie, at $70,000 for the 2011 breeding season that opens in February, but that figure will drop to $63,000 for breeders paying by Nov. 1, 2011.
Vinery will boost the fee of its flagship stallion, More Than Ready, from $30,000 to $40,000 but will cut many of its other horses’ fees in 2011.
Lookin At Lucky will start his stud career with a $35,000 fee, and Giant’s Causeway will drop in price from $100,000 to $85,000 in 2011, Ashford Stud announced Tuesday.

Keeneland’s 13-day November breeding stock auction ended Saturday with the market between 10 and 15 percent below last year’s levels.
