LEXINGTON, Ky. – Zenyatta will parade for her fans Dec. 6 at Keeneland in Lexington before retiring to the Farish family’s Lane’s End farm. The Kentucky public event takes place one day after the champion mare’s scheduled appearance to parade at Hollywood Park. She’s scheduled to arrive in Lexington about 3:45 p.m. Monday before boarding a van for Keeneland, where plans call for her to parade in the paddock about 4:15 p.m. The 6-year-old Street Cry mare will ship from Keeneland to Lane’s End in Versailles, according to an announcement the farm issued Monday. “In the future, fans wanting to see Zenyatta will need to check her website at zenyatta.com or at lanesend.com to see what her schedule might be while she is preparing for her second career as a broodmare,” the farm’s release said. Zenyatta won 19 or her 20 lifetime starts for owners Ann and Jerry Moss, finally losing by a head to Blame in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic. She was attempting to win a second consecutive Classic. She retired after the race with $7,304,580 in earnings.
