Jockeys were expected to ride at Parx racetrack outside Philadelphia this weekend after representatives of the Jockeys’ Guild met Friday with track management and reported progress on resolving a dispute over a waiver the track distributed to riders this week, according to the head of the Guild.
Grade 2 winner Santiva will relocate to Questroyal North in Stillwater, N.Y., for the 2015 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $2,500.
The main track was fast Wednesday, sloppy Thursday, and muddy Friday, yet outside paths produced the vast majority of winners on all three days – a trend that also was apparent to some extent during opening week, particularly Oct. 31.

Trainer Niall Saville is based in Maryland but has picked his spots well in New York, having won with 8 of 49 starters he has sent to the three NYRA tracks. One of those winners was North Star Boy, who shipped to Aqueduct last Nov. 9 to win a first-level allowance race at 1 1/16 miles on turf. Exactly one year later, North Star Boy returns to Aqueduct to run in a third-level allowance race at 1 1/16 miles on turf.
