There aren’t too many good-sized fields on this card, making putting together a multi-race wager a bit tricky. But the one fully subscribed race (race 4) down the hill gives you some options kicking off a mid-card pick three.
Venus Delight captured the first of three divisions of the Blue Chip Matchmaker series at Yonkers Raceway on Friday evening in 1:55 1/5 despite a first-over trip. Carolsideal and Krispy Apple captured the final two splits.
Saturday’s card at Gulfstream is a challenging one. I’m going to concentrate on a pick three wager using a couple of horses listed at juicy odds on the morning line.

A good horse can come from anywhere, and have any kind of pedigree. But good horses occur far more rarely from unfashionable pedigrees than from those replete with the heavy black type of graded stakes winners. Diabolical’s career at stud thus far has been all about starting fast. Diabolical, a 12-year-old son of Artax, was New Mexico’s leading active sire by progeny earnings in 2014, propelled by a fleet of stakes-level 2-year-olds that made him the only North American sire standing west of the Mississippi River last year to finish in the top 50 by juvenile earnings.
