The catalog for the 2015 Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. spring 2-year-olds in training sale is now available online, featuring a roster of 1,203 entries.
In a field full of out-of-state invaders, it was Don’t Leave Me, who campaigned in Canada last year, up late on the outside to win the Grade 3, $150,000 Bourbonette Oaks over the favored Sweet Success on Saturday at Turfway Park.
Subtle Indian remained undefeated in three starts on Saturday, when he held off a charging Bayerd by a half-length to capture the $100,000 Gazebo at Oaklawn Park. It was another 1 3/4 lengths back in third to Hebbronville.
Owner Brian Novak and trainer Richard Stoklosa claimed Piquant for $32,000 the day after nominations closed for Saturday’s inaugural New York Claiming Championships. Much to their delight, the previous connections had nominated the 7-year-old gelding to the $70,000 Peeping Tom Stakes.
