Career maiden Zippy Chippy was banned from racing at Thistledown for being "uncompetitive" after he finished last at the Ohio track Wednesday in a maiden special weight race. Zippy Chippy, a 12-year-old owned and trained by Felix O. Monserrate, is now 0 for 97. He has been barred from racing at several other tracks.
ARCADIA, Calif. - The list of prominent trainers that will be based in Southern California this summer lost a member of the Hall of Fame and gained a national leader.
Hall of Famer D. Wayne Lukas is shipping 14 horses to Arlington Park in early May and will not race at the Hollywood Park or Del Mar meetings.

The morning after Agrivating General won the Premiere Stakes on Lone Star Park's opening-night card, his trainer, Danny Pish, expressed a desire to run the colt on the turf at some point this year.
