Will Rogers Downs track report

Trainer Martin Lozano's stable has one of the highest win percentages in this region, so it is no surprise to find him dominating the Will Rogers Downs meet in Claremore, Okla. He has won with 26 of 76 starters, 16 more than the second-leading trainer, Zachary Armstrong.

Lozano has a 28-horse stable at Will Rogers, and he looks to keep his barn's momentum going through the end of the meet, May 28.

Pyramid Park will run in an allowance Friday.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - A first-level allowance race for Ontario-sired runners on a weekday afternoon at Woodbine might seem like a far cry from a race like the $1 million Queen's Plate.

But Pyramid Park, one of the top 2-year-olds here last year, will be looking to take his first serious step on the road to the June 25 Queen's Plate in just such a race here Friday.

The 1 1/16-mile allowance attracted a field of six, including one 4-year-old and one 5-year-old, and Pyramid Park should be a prohibitive choice to take home the winner's share of the $69,100 purse.

Toubeeb, 'Penalty' will battle up front

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - Toubeeb and Penalty Peat will likely battle for the early lead in Friday's featured seventh race at Assiniboia Downs, a second-level allowance with a claiming option of $16,000 at five furlongs. The race has drawn a field of six older males.

Toubeeb won 2 of 3 starts here last year, including one at this level. A 5-year-old son of Labeeb, Toubeeb returned to the barn of trainer Tom Gardipy Jr. after finishing sixth against $30,000 claimers at Stampede Park in early April. Gardipy was one of two trainers who won three races on opening weekend.

Regret rematch in allowance

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - When Rich in Spirit and Cape Hope clashed as the favorites among a deep field of 3-year-old turf fillies last June in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs, it would have been risky to predict that both would go winless for nearly 11 months afterward.

Nonetheless, has failed to win in three subsequent starts since emerging victorious in the Regret under the since-retired Gary Stevens. Cape Hope, fifth that afternoon when ridden by the since-retired Jerry Bailey, also has failed to win in three subsequent races.

Nothing But Fun returns

ELMONT, N.Y. - Handicappers looking to get a handle on the filly-and-mare division should go to school on Thursday's feature at Belmont Park, a $65,000 overnight stakes named the Mil Kilates. The mile race drew a field of six, all 4-year-old fillies.

All except , a restricted stakes winner at Belmont last fall, return from a layoff.
