The Tuesday racecard at Delaware Park has been cancelled on the orders of the state racing commission's supervisory veterinarian, who cited expected high temperatures as posing a danger to horses and riders.

John Wayne, the administrator of racing for the commission, said that Delaware Park management supported the decision.

Nashoba's Key beats traffic in Hirsch

DEL MAR, Calif.-Apparently, it will take more than a case of crafty race-riding from a rival jockey to end Nashoba’s Key’s undefeated streak.

Precious Kitten takes Mabee

DEL MAR, Calif. - Jockey Rafael Bejarano had Saturday's $400,000 John Mabee Handicap at Del Mar figured out from the start.

Precious Kitten, who was expected to be near the front, rallied three wide on the final turn to take the lead in the stretch before pulling away to score the most prestigious victory of her 15-race career.
