The $72,600 Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai Racecourse in Australia on Friday is far enough from the top venues in Sydney to give Greek Hero a reprieve from his recent races.
Greek Hero, who began his career in Great Britain, won his Australian debut in May and was later fifth and fourth against tougher rivals in handicaps at Royal Randwick Racecourse in Sydney in late May and June. Greek Hero has shown he can win following a layoff and will carry minimum weight of 121 pounds, well below topweight Spunlago at 137.7 pounds.
A year ago at this time, Fiesta finished fourth of 15 in The Hunter Stakes at 13-1 at Newcastle Racecourse in Australia, the seventh setback in what would be a 14-race losing streak.
The streak ended with a win in the Group 3 Northwood Plume Stakes at six furlongs on Oct. 10 at Caulfield and was followed with a victory in the Group 3 Begonia Belle Stakes at 5 1/2 furlongs on Oct. 31 at Flemington.
Greenskeeper is right at home at Port Macquarie Racecourse in Australia.
Greenskeeper has won 2 of 16 starts with both of his wins at Port Macquarie, a coastal town north of Sydney. Thursday, Greenskeeper will have his second start of 2020 in a handicap at 7 1/2 furlongs at Port Macquarie.
There’s little more reviled and feared withing Hong Kong racing than a three-wide trip with no cover. Getting caught that far outside going around a turn without a horse in front to aid as a windbreak is a no-no, but it made no difference whatsoever to Sky Darci on Oct. 28 at Happy Valley.

The $109,000 Ladies Day Cup at Hawkesbury Racecourse in Australia on Wednesday is the ideal one-mile race for Looks Like Elvis and Military Zone to rebound from recent losing streaks.
The same goes for Archedemus, Mantastic and Quintessa.

After fourth- and second-place finishes in handicaps in October, Inwithachance will race for the third time following a three-month layoff in a competitive handicap at 5 1/2 furlongs on Monday at Lismore Racecourse in Australia.
A 6-year-old gelding, Inwithachance is likely to be prominent from the start in a field of eight and has a strong chance to win if a speed duel does not develop.
