Santa Anita: Pick-six carryovers of $133,546 and $590,443 for Thursday

ARCADIA, Calif. - There are two pick six carryovers at Santa Anita on Thursday - $133,546 in the main pool and $590,443 in the single ticket jackpot pool.

There was no winning ticket in Sunday’s pick six. The winners of the pick six races were Oso ($32.40), Colonist ($3.60), Crafty Cowboy ($9.40), Poshsky ($16.80), Hard Aces ($10), and Storm the Hill ($6).

Colonist and Storm the Hill were favored.

Consolation tickets with five winners were worth $632.

Sunday’s pick six began with a carryover of $561,826. Bettors added $249,982 on Sunday.

Gulfstream: Rainbow 6 pays $48,881 on closing day

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. -  The 2016-17 Gulfstream Park championship meeting went out with a bang on Sunday for those fortunate and skillful enough to correctly select the final six winners on the card and collect a 20-cent Rainbow 6 payoff of $48,881.88.

A total of $7,336,992 was added to a carryover of nearly $2 million in the Rainbow 6, which had gone unsolved for 27 consecutive programs. The Rainbow 6 had last been hit on Feb. 23 for a payoff of $324,179.  There was a mandatory payout of the pool on closing day.

Gulfstream: Rainbow 6 carryover of $1.9 million for Sunday's closing day

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - There was not a unique winning ticket sold on the Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, resulting in a carryover of $1,911,407 into Sunday where the entire pool must be distributed as it is the final day of the meet.

Gulfstream Park officials believe the pool could climb as high as $10 million. The bet is a 20-cent minimum and on Sunday it will paid out to all players who correctly select all six winners. The sequence begins on race 6.

Bridgmohan gets 3,000th winner of career

Shaun Bridgmohan will be based at Oaklawn Park for the first time this winter.

NEW ORLEANS – Shaun Bridgmohan won the 3,000th race of his career Saturday at Fair Grounds when he guided Inveniam Viam to a decisive victory in the first race.

“Yeah, that’s a lot of wins,” Bridgmohan said. “Thankfully, I’ve had a lot of good trainers and owners that stood behind me and got me to that point, so I’m very gratified for the opportunity that was presented me.”

Classic Empire bet to early favoritism in Kentucky Derby Future Wager

Classic Empire tops the field for Saturday's Holy Bull Stakes.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Classic Empire was a slight favorite after the first of three days of betting into Pool 4 of the 2017 Kentucky Derby Future Wager, but the results of two major prep races Saturday will go a long way in determining the final odds when the pool closes Sunday at 6 p.m. Eastern.

As of Saturday morning, with $58,934 in the win pool, Classic Empire was the 9-2 choice, followed by Gunnevera (6-1), McCraken (7-1), and Tapwrit (8-1). Another $22,337 had been bet in exactas. Pool 4 opened Friday at noon Eastern.

IFAR to hold aftercare conference in May in Washington
