Didn’t respond to rating tactics two back, and then got an uncomfortable trip through the early stages last time.

Should be close to the pace, and the Pace Projector is predicting a situation favoring runners on or near the lead.

David Jacobson gets a 90 Trainer Rating with horses going from allowance to claiming company.

7-2 on ML

New York Hero (#9)

Made a solid late run in his debut.

Peck: Keeneland late pick four for Saturday, Oct. 14

Keeneland's late pick four Saturday seems very playable, with the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup the main event.

RACE 7: TRUST FACTOR is the main speed from the hedge. BONDURANT has some of the better Beyer Speed Figures in the field, and that last sprint try should have him well set up for this. REVVED UP was hampered by a slow pace in his latest. THE BULL is of unknown quality, but the barn does well with imports.

Beer: Belmont Park early pick three for Saturday, Oct. 14

Race 1: #1 Remstin is going to win this race if he can still run, something that is in question at this point as he drops in class following a non-effort at Saratoga in his return from a long layoff. I'll use him but will try to beat him with #6 Northern Grey, who is wheeling back quickly for his second start for David Jacobson after stumbling badly at the start here eight days ago. If he breaks, he has the kind of speed that projects to play well in this field, and he is a big price on the morning line.

Was somewhat green in his debut, but was running on well after having to alter course in the lane.
Should get a solid pace to close into with multiple speeds signed on this time.
DRF Formulator Fact: Over the past five years, Barclay Tagg is 7 for 35 (20 percent, $2.48 ROI) with maidens making their second starts on the grass.

If you keyed our two Pix last week as we recommended with the other BreezeFigs colt that we thought might do OK, you did OK. Though they finished second and third, Conquistador and Tricks to Doo probably were at a disadvantage in trying to keep up with Rubus, who was more experienced.  Nonetheless we saw a serious trio of colts who were streets ahead of the rest and a nice couple of payoffs with a $26 BreezeFigs exacta and $60 BreezeFigs trifecta.
