Beer: How I'll play Belmont on Saturday, Oct. 28

Here’s a look at the all-stakes late pick four.

Race 7 – Grade 3 Athenia

The starting point for anyone betting this race is #7 Off Limits. She is one of three entered for Chad Brown, but if she repeats her last race, she is winning the Athenia. Off Limits was super-impressive in winning the Noble Damsel last time with a strong run from off the pace (and a career-best 105 Beyer Speed Figure), but it could be argued that she will be tough in today's race if she just manages to run as well as she has in any of her four starts this year.

Free: How I'll play Santa Anita on Saturday, Oct. 28

ARCADIA, Calif. – Two nuggets offer potential wagering value Saturday at Santa Anita. And there is more. A handicapping omission requires clarification, and a longshot bomber demands consideration in Saturday’s biggest race. So, here goes – races 1, 3, 8 and 9.

Hammersly: Santa Anita late pick three play for Sunday, Oct. 29

Some big fields provide an opportunity for a nice return on a late pick three (races 8-10) at Santa Anita on Sunday. One of those races is an inscrutable renewal of the Grade 3 Autumn Miss at a mile on the turf, as the very nature of such a tough race can lead to a nice payoff.

Race 3:
Chasindamoney (#10)

Needed his debut effort, in which he was sluggish early and racing greenly.

Ran much better than it appears in his second start, hanging on well despite setting a fast early pace.

Should appreciate the slight turnback to six furlongs.

BreezeFigs Quick-Pix Saturday, October 28, 2017 by Bob Fierro & Jay Kilgore

Sorry about last week—we were on our way back from London where we introduced the Europeans to the BreezeFigs system and couldn’t meet our deadline while over the Atlantic. However, our Pick the week before resulted in another BreezeFigs exacta when Tap Rite Strike and Tattered finished 1-2 for a $14.40 exacta at Parx.
